However, this force makes the voice coil vibrate with the audio current in the magnetic field of the speaker's own permanent magnet, and the diaphragm of the speaker is connected with the voice coil, so the diaphragm also vibrates. Vibration produces sound with the same waveform as the original audio signal.
The exciting part of the horn loudspeaker is usually similar to the spherical speaker, and the diaphragm is also spherical (or inverted spherical); In order to obtain proper compliance, a folding ring is also provided, which is usually made of resin and diaphragm.
The function of the horn is equivalent to an acoustic impedance converter, which matches the acoustic impedance of the exciter with the acoustic impedance of the bell mouth. The sound film vibration of the exciter is transmitted to the bell mouth, driving large area of air and radiating sound waves into space.
The phase correction plug is used to adjust the distance from each point of the diaphragm to the throat of the horn, so that the phase of the sound wave excited by each point of the diaphragm reaches the throat is the same, so as to reduce the phase interference phenomenon.
