The definition and scope of application of reliability. The definition of speaker reliability is: "The ability of a horn speaker product to complete specified functions under specified conditions and within a specified time." It is the time quality indicator of a speaker product after leaving the factory, used to describe whether the horn loudspeaker is easily damaged and the degree of reliability during use. With the improvement of user requirements, the speaker structure is becoming increasingly complex (such as car speakers), the output power is increasing (such as PA speakers), and the usage environment is becoming increasingly harsh (such as outdoor speakers), which will lead to a decrease in the reliability level of speaker products. At the same time, the use of new materials, processes, or technologies can also increase the factors that make horn speakers unreliable.



The "prescribed conditions" in the definition of reliability determine a wide range of reliability, and the reliability of a product is closely related to its working state, usage conditions, and environmental conditions for storage and transportation. The conditions can be divided into two categories: usage conditions and surrounding environmental conditions. The usage conditions refer to the stress conditions that act upon entering the interior of the product, including various electrical, chemical, and physical stresses. The surrounding environmental conditions include various environmental stress conditions such as temperature, humidity, air pressure, harmful gases, mold, salt mist, impact, vibration, and radiation. In this sense, environmental testing also belongs to the category of reliability testing.
