From the perspective of ensuring sound quality, the power amplifier should not have any limiter within this dynamic range, that is, the output power of the power amplifier should be 5-8 times the rated power of the speaker. Although the sound quality of this power configuration is good, his investment will be great.

1. In some projects with low requirements and limited investment, the power of the power amplifier is at least equal to the rated power of the speaker. But be very careful not to distort the sound. An undersized power configuration doesn't seem to damage the speakers, but it doesn't. Too low power is prone to overload clipping, producing a lot of harmonics and burning out the treble.

2. In general engineering, it is recommended that the power of the power amplifier should be 1.5 times. The bass part should be more than 1.5 times, so as to get enough strength.

3. Requirements for venues, such as recording studios, concert halls, etc. Ideally, there should be twice as much speaker power. (This is consistent with one of the recommended values of the Electrotechnical Commission IEC standard).

In short, there is no rigid standard for the design of power amplifiers, it all depends on the investment budget and the requirements for sound quality.
