How to identify the sound quality of loudspeakers

2022 11/18

Although any horn speaker has its strengths and weaknesses, especially in a limited budget, it is not easy to get perfect results with low-cost speakers, but there are certain reference standards or directions for horn speakers of any price and level.

1. The low frequency produced by low-quality loudspeaker horn for testing low frequency can be deafening, but it is completely bulky and loose, lacking sense of hierarchy and firmness. A good low-frequency instrument should be clean, bright, well arranged, and not sloppy. Even various low-frequency instruments, such as big and small drums, bass guitar, and bass of piano, can be easily distinguished. So don't be fooled by the sense of low frequency. Low frequency is not as natural and comfortable as clean sound.

2. It is not difficult to detect the advantages and disadvantages of the voice that is often heard when testing the mid frequency voice. Pay attention to whether the voice has an unusual nasal sound or the feeling of being pursed.

The "box sound" of some loudspeakers will also greatly interfere with the intermediate frequency, making the sound in this frequency band unclear. The intermediate frequency sound pollution is more serious than other frequency sound pollution, because most audible sound frequencies or music frequencies are concentrated in the intermediate frequency range, which will become an obstacle to replay for almost all kinds of music.

3. To test the flexibility of the high frequency, the high frequency with poor quality is the shrill sound inserted into the ear, which makes people's head ache. In extreme cases, the beautiful voice of the violin or soprano turns into the sharp noise of the brake. Similarly, different instruments in the treble produce different textures, and good treble can be distinguished.

The high frequency of the second level can even distinguish the different sounds played by two handfuls of different wood in different years. The key point that is easy to master is that a good treble is not to be heard but to be feared. The pores will stand up, and it will not make people more tired to hear. It should be soft and flexible, smooth and layered, and it can be heard easily from high to high, but will not change the tone (of course, it is not based on the recording of a wandering singer). 4. The test of high volume and sound field is like that some loudspeakers are stable in low volume, but will be distorted when the volume rises to a certain index, Or "beat side", various non recorded music signals appear.

Specifically, if orchestral music is one of the favorite music, it must pass this level. The sound of qualified loudspeakers can be out of the box to a certain extent, creating a clear sound field and image, showing the location and texture of different musical instruments, and having sufficient diffusion to grow, wide and high audio space.

The weak tone and the ending should be heard clearly, and there should be no distortion in the case of loud volume and "big bang", and the voice and instrument sound will not be entangled. High quality replay can show a rich sense of music and air, as well as the bouncing power of notes. It is like seeing the sky through clouds, showing a whole detailed and orderly sound. More directly, listening for a long time will not make your ears tired.
