2. Due to the physical factors, the dynamic range of the bass of the small bookshelf speaker cannot be too large, so even if its low frequency extension is very low, its practical significance is not great. It can be seen that the actual effect of pursuing the low frequency limit of the small speaker is not ideal, and it is not suitable for the replay of the pop music.
3. The nominal impedance of the speaker usually includes 4 Ω and 8 Ω. Although the speaker with 4 Ω impedance can make the power amplifier output more power, the low impedance requires a high output current capability of the power amplifier, which tends to increase the distortion of some power amplifiers with small power margin, and the low impedance speaker is unfavorable to the damping, which will affect the low-frequency control force. In addition, the impedance of some speakers may be reduced to less than half of the value at some frequencies during actual operation, so it is better to choose speakers with impedance of 8 Ω. (For example, the load impedance of many AV amplifiers cannot be less than 6 Ω)
4. The speaker of small caliber speaker unit can achieve very good listening effect, but this kind of speaker is only suitable for close listening. For rooms with large space, such as halls, large speakers with large caliber speaker units should be selected to achieve good listening effects.
5. The dumbbell speaker adopts two same mid-low frequency speaker units, which are symmetrically arranged on both sides of the high frequency unit. It can achieve good low frequency and transient response, high sensitivity and power bearing capacity, and large dynamic nonlinear distortion is small. However, its mid-range integrated frequency characteristics often produce a trough, and its vertical orientation is narrow, so its mid-range performance should be paid attention to. However, the lower unit of some dumbbell speakers is only used for playback of low frequency, while the upper unit is used for playback of medium and low frequency, which is called 2.5 frequency division. The above shortcomings can be overcome.
6. The two-wire split speaker box has two sets of speaker terminals. If the two sets of terminals are connected in parallel, the speaker wires must be connected to the pair of terminals of the middle and low frequency unit. Otherwise, the effect of low frequency replay will be mostly lost due to the influence of the wires or copper strips used for the parallel connection of the two sets of terminals.
7. The floor speakers are placed on the ground, but they often affect the balance of the replay sound due to the resonance of the ground, and even cause the bass boom. Therefore, in most cases, foot nails are indispensable. The pedestal speakers are mostly equipped with a tripod with a suitable height, which is placed on the table cabinet at will. Because of the reflection of sound waves, the replay characteristics of the speakers are often changed. For the high frequency unit, use the mirror symmetrical design speaker (that is, the high frequency unit is not in the middle of the baffle), and the high frequency unit should be inclined to the inside during positioning.
8. It is better to use three small pieces of foam double-sided adhesive tape between the speaker and the tripod, stick it to the bottom of the speaker in a triangular position, and then put it on the tripod, so that the speaker has a certain adhesion to the tripod. Otherwise, if you accidentally bring it to the speaker during use, the speaker will easily slide out of the tripod and fall to the ground.
9. The distance between the bass reflex speaker with the sound outlet opening set on the rear baffle of the speaker and the rear wall must be adjusted to achieve normal and reasonable low frequency performance. If the distance is too close, it will generally produce too many low frequencies or ambiguous sounds. If the distance is too far, it may cause insufficient low frequencies. The speaker with the sound outlet on the front baffle does not need to worry about the reflection hole, even if it is placed on a low cabinet.
10. The sound box is extremely susceptible to the influence of the acoustic characteristics and location of the room. When the speaker is placed in different space environment, its sound production effect will be different. Even if the same speaker has the same frequency response through the balanced playback system, as long as the room size is different, its playback effect will also be different.
